TAIPEI, Oct 31 (Reuters) - Taiwan chipmaker TSMC (2330.TW) , opens new tab said on Thursday that it has activated routine typhoon alert preparation procedures at all its factories and construction sites, ahead of the arrival of Super Typhoon Kong-rey.

"We do not expect significant impact to our operations," it said in an emailed statement.
