March 5 (Reuters) - The European Union will make 1.8 billion euros ($1.92 billion)available to help secure supply chains for battery raw materials, the EU Commission said on Wednesday.

The Commission late last year already said it would partner with the European Investment Bank to support investments in the EU's battery manufacturing sector.
