Sept 18 (Reuters) - Oil producer Capricorn Energy (CNE.L) , opens new tab posted a first-half pretax loss from continuing operations on Thursday, dragged by hurdles in its main market Egypt, but said it remains "on track" to deliver its annual production forecast.

Capricorn reported a loss before taxation from continuing operations of $7.5 million for the six-month period ended June 30, down from a profit of $16.4 million last year.
