Adjusted core profit from its timberlands segment came in at $148 million, compared with $122 million a year earlier, while that of the real estate unit jumped more than 18% to $91 million.

The company said it completed two acquisitions totaling $459 million during the third quarter, while also advancing three divestiture packages of non-core timberlands worth $410 million.
It posted a profit of $80 million, or 11 cents per share, for the quarter ended September 30, compared with $28 million, or 4 cents per share, a year earlier.
